Hanoi

After surviving APEC, I'm down in Saigon for a few days and thinking back on the capital. Hanoi had changed a lot in the two years since I was last there--beginning to get that Saigon-style rush of motorcycles, road paving, and construction cranes. Only odd thing was a burning smell in many parts of town--a sure sign that solid waste disposal is another big issue to address.
